Dr. Guadalupe Vanderhorst Rodriguez

As a direct descendant of the Kikotan Nation, Dr. Guadalupe Vanderhorst Rodriguez has devoted her life to preserving and sharing the history, culture, and wisdom of her ancestors. Raised in a home that nurtured Indigenous heritage, cultural traditions, and enduring values, she developed a deep appreciation for the resilience, knowledge, and legacy of the Kikotan people from an early age.

She has carries her indigenous teachings forward through  a lifelong cultural learning and stewardship. Combined with more than 40 years of professional historical and genealogical research, her work reflects a unique blend of lived Indigenous experience, original scholarship, professional education, and holistic healing.

As an author, educator, Doctor of Acupuncture, Licensed Acupuncturist, and steward of Kikotan history, Dr. Rodriguez is dedicated to preserving Indigenous heritage, advancing historical understanding, and sharing traditional wisdom with integrity and respect.

 

Through her books, educational programs, historical research, and community outreach, she empowers individuals to reconnect with their ancestry, honor their cultural identity, and preserve their legacy for future generations.
